Arun Pandhi, Director, P-Green Solutions attended the 13th “Eastern Himalayas Naturenomics Forum (EHNF) 2025” in Guwahati between the 10th & 11th of December 2025 organized by the Balipara Foundation. The focus of the 13th EHNF was on “The Future of the Third Pole and the Himsagar (Eastern Himalayas).” A session was conducted by Arun Pandhi on “Rooted Livelihoods: Regenerating Agrarian Economies through Diversification and Local Enterprise” in the context of the North East of India. The panel comprised of leading nonprofit and government players in the North East. These included: Shri Loken Das, Chief General Manager, NABARD, Guwahati; Ms. Sentimongla Kechuchar, Executive Director, NEIDA, Kohima; Mr. Sanjay Singh, Executive Director, Centre for Microfinance and Livelihoods (CML), Guwahati; Mr. Sarat Chandra Das, Secretary, Grameen Sahara; Mr. Pradyut Bhattacharjee, Executive Director, SeSTA; and Mr. Dharamjeet Kumar, Co-Founder, Ayang Trust. Valuable inputs were provided on developing viable farmer producer organizations in the North East, which were both financial and institutionally sustainable. The panel also provided guidance on taking forward and strengthening sustainable value chains in the North East.
