Field visits were undertaken in May 2026 to Silkoti and Chureddhar villages in Tehri Garhwal for the layout of drip and mulching trials. Capsicum will be transplanted in these fields. These trials are part of the Phase II project supported under Himalayan Water Partnership now underway on traditional water use and supplementary irrigation in dryland agriculture in the Uttarakhand Himalayas. This is part of the study titled “To study the traditional water-use & support irrigation in dryland agriculture and to find ways to enhance water use efficiency under traditional support irrigation systems” commenced in April 2026.
