P-Green Solutions is providing strategic advisory and institutional strengthening support to the Centre for Microfinance & Livelihood (CML), an initiative of Tata Trusts, with a focus on its Livelihood, including Craft, and WaSH programmes. The six-month engagement starting in April 2026 aims to strengthen CML’s strategic direction, programme design and delivery, impact orientation, donor engagement and long-term institutional sustainability.
The engagement follows a participatory and action-oriented approach, combining desk review, leadership and team consultations, field visits, stakeholder engagement and validation workshops. It focuses on five interlinked areas: (i) Vision, Mission and Theory of Change; (ii) Impact Assessment and Evidence; (iii) Donor Engagement and Proposal Development; (iv) Capacity Building and Internal Alignment; and (v) Five-Year Strategic Planning.
A key objective is to develop a clear Theory of Change for the Livelihood, Craft and WaSH verticals, linking programme interventions with measurable outcomes, assumptions, risks and longer-term impact. This will be complemented by an impact assessment framework to strengthen CML’s evidence base and a focused donor strategy covering donor mapping, positioning, concept notes, proposals and pitch materials.
The exercise will also build internal capacity through workshops, tools and practical frameworks covering strategy, ToC, monitoring and evaluation, programme quality and donor communication. The learning and recommendations will culminate in a five-year strategic roadmap addressing geographic and thematic priorities, programme models, partnerships, organisational capabilities, monitoring systems and funding strategy.
The overall intent is to help CML move from programmes to strategic portfolios, from activities to measurable outcomes, from experience to evidence, and from individual funding opportunities to a structured and sustainable resource mobilisation strategy—thereby enabling greater impact, scale and institutional sustainability.
