A first field visit to Jammu & Kashmir and an inception meeting with ISAP and Indigram Labs Foundation leadership mark the opening of a multi-month advisory engagement.
P-Green Solutions has begun a new strategic advisory engagement with ISAP India Foundation, one of India’s largest civil-society networks in the agriculture and allied sectors, and its technology-incubation arm, Indigram Labs Foundation. Building on an earlier collaboration on the COFE Startup Implementation Program Proposal, the assignment — running from April 2026 — will help both organisations sharpen their long-term Vision, Mission, and Theory of Change, and strengthen their impact assessment and donor engagement strategies.
On the Ground in Kashmir
The engagement opened with a field visit to Jammu & Kashmir from 28 April to 1 May 2026, led by Gaurav Vats, taking in Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Uri, and Pulwama. The team met Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) supported through ISAP’s HDFC Parivartan partnership, which has equipped local growers with fruit-processing machinery, solar pumps, and a strengthened saffron value chain. The visit underlined the strength of ISAP’s local field team and its deep community trust, and pointed to fresh opportunities in high-density apple cultivation, nut-crop diversification, high-tech nurseries, and wider use of solar power for irrigation, drying, and cold storage across the state.
A Joint Inception Meeting
The field visit fed directly into an inception meeting bringing together the ISAP and Indigram Labs Foundation teams, where a joint SWOT analysis was conducted against a three-to-five-year strategic horizon. The discussion affirmed ISAP’s core strengths — a committed, multi-disciplinary national team and strong governance systems — while surfacing opportunities in precision agriculture, carbon and organic farming, food processing, and value-chain expansion.
These early findings will anchor the Vision, Mission, and Theory of Change workshop scheduled for June 2026, as P-Green Solutions continues working alongside ISAP India Foundation and Indigram Labs Foundation through the months ahead.
